Who am I ?

I’m a Software Development Engineer with experience building and owning production-grade, full-stack web applications from design through deployment. I enjoy working on problems that sit at the intersection of clean architecture, scalable systems, and user-focused engineering. My background spans frontend and backend development, where I’ve built modular UI systems with React, designed RESTful APIs and backend workflows using Node.js, and deployed reliable, containerized services on AWS. I care deeply about performance, security, accessibility, and maintainability, and I’ve led features that improved user satisfaction, reduced defects, and supported stable production releases. I’ve worked across the full software lifecycle—requirements analysis, system design, implementation, testing, deployment, and observability—collaborating closely with designers, engineers, and QA to ship reliable systems at scale. I’m comfortable owning features end-to-end and diving deep into debugging, optimization, and edge-case handling. Currently, I’m seeking Software Development Engineer roles where I can contribute to scalable, high-impact systems, learn from strong engineering teams, and continue growing as an engineer who builds things that last.

Beyond the code and cloud, there’s a timeline of passion projects, creative chaos, and side quests that shaped who I am. In 2020, I went full gamer mode—livestreaming video games on YouTube during the COVID pandemic (peak lockdown vibes). I’ve worked with an ad agency, a news channel, and even a political party in India, getting hands-on experience with storytelling, media, and impact. I’ve also worked as a software engineer, collaborated with friends to build robots and drones, and yes—I absolutely snack on chips and soda while doing all this. I was an active member of the IEEE Student Branch at KLS GIT, started a Photography Club during my undergrad, and served as the Design Head for three semesters at IIT Chicago. Oh—and one more thing: I can Procreate (yes, the iPad app—designing, illustrating, and occasionally doodling nonsense that turns out kinda cool).

Indian Student Association – Illinois Tech | Aug 2023 – Jan 2025 · 1 yr 6 mos

I served as Design Head for 3 semesters at ISA@IIT Chicago. I was also offered a 4th tenure as Design Head, but as I was in the final semester of my master's, I had to decline the offer. In this role, I contributed significantly to art and culture by making and filming videos, managing the design team, and collaborating closely with the photography team.

As Joint Secretary at IEEE KLS GIT, I coordinated internal communications, managed event logistics, and maintained documentation to ensure smooth operation of the team. I played a key role in organizing events and streamlining processes, as detailed in the second image.

Software Developer

Artversion (Full-Time) | Jun 2025 – Jan 2026

At ArtVersion, I shipped React features using TypeScript/JavaScript, building reusable UI components and integrating APIs to deliver responsive, accessible (ADA/WCAG) experiences from Figma to production. I also built a LinkedIn integration plugin that ingests posts/reactions/comments via API, normalizes and caches the data, and renders it in a dynamic WordPress slider to surface real-time social proof with minimal performance overhead. Additionally, I developed enterprise WordPress/WordPress VIP plugins with modular architecture and security best practices (sanitization/escaping, capability checks), and created a secure Chrome extension to transfer structured content between WordPress environments with validation and automated field mapping to eliminate manual entry and reduce inconsistencies.

I collaborated closely with three cross-functional teams (Design, Engineering, and QA) to build and deliver production web applications end to end, improving user satisfaction by 15% and reducing post-launch issues by 25% through clearer requirements, stronger QA alignment, and disciplined release validation. I consistently identified bottlenecks and mitigated development risks by applying solid software engineering practices—modular architecture, reusable components, and workflow automation—resulting in a 20% reduction in development time and more predictable delivery. Using a root-cause, hypothesis-driven debugging approach, I troubleshot complex performance and reliability issues quickly and helped stabilize deployments with production-ready practices across environments (development → staging → production).
